Use & Care
Saalt Discs are not supplied in a sterile state. Before first use and between cycles, sanitise by boiling in water for 4–5 minutes, no more than 7 minutes. Use tongs or a whisk to ensure the disc does not rest on the bottom of the pot.
Wash your hands and the disc with warm water and a mild, pH-balanced cleanser. To insert, pinch the rim into an “8” shape, slide it horizontally towards your tailbone, then tuck the front rim behind the pubic bone. The disc should sit below the cervix and can provide up to 12 hours of worry-free protection.
To remove, hook a finger into the notch or beneath the rim and gently pull the disc out horizontally. Empty, rinse with cold water, then wash thoroughly before reinserting.
Dry completely and store in the included breathable cotton pouch. Do not use plastic bags or airtight containers. Replace the disc if it is ripped, torn, or shows signs of silicone deterioration.
